Salesforce

If you’ve been experiencing difficulty with the Salesforce Gmail Integration Chrome Extension — where it displays related accounts and contacts but prevents record creation — you’re not alone. Here’s how to fix it.

Resolution Steps

Navigate to Salesforce Setup and search for “Gmail” to locate the Gmail and Lightning Integration Sync settings. Check whether Application Panes exist without Publisher Layouts, or if Publisher Layouts lack profile assignments.

If no Publisher Layouts are present, create one by clicking “New.” Each desired action requires a corresponding button. Alternatively, if Publisher Layouts already exist, verify assignment through “Publisher Layout Assignment” and confirm the selected layout contains the necessary buttons.

After making changes, save and reload Gmail. It’s recommended to wait a minute or two for changes to propagate — make a cup of coffee and check again if it’s not immediately appearing.

Additional Guidance

Should the issue persist after following these steps, contacting Salesforce support is the recommended next step.
