Read-only by architecture. Breadwinner cannot create, edit, or approve transactions. There is no write path — not behind a flag, not for admins, not ever.

You decide what's queryable. Configure exactly which records, accounts, and subsidiaries are visible. Sensitive areas like payroll or executive compensation can be excluded entirely.

Will it hallucinate numbers?
No. Every answer is a structured query against a cached copy of your real finance data — not a language model guessing. If a question is ambiguous or the data isn't there, Breadwinner says so instead of inventing a number.
Where does my data actually go?
It stays in Breadwinner's SOC 2 Type II environment. We don't send it to OpenAI training, we don't share it with third parties, and you control which records the system can even see.
What if we want to remove it?
Uninstall like any Slack app — two clicks from your Slack workspace admin. Disconnecting from your finance system clears the cached data within 24 hours. Audit logs are retained per your account's data retention policy.
Will it slow down our Slack?
No. Breadwinner only responds when it's mentioned or asked a question, and replies in about five seconds. It doesn't post unprompted, doesn't watch other conversations, and doesn't index your messages.
