Salesforce-native integration for finance teams.

Agentforce Finance Data: the Native Layer That Makes Salesforce Agents Finance-Fluent

Agentforce finance data is the invoice, payment, customer, and balance information your agents need to answer finance questions, available to them directly inside Salesforce. An Agentforce agent can only reason over what it can reach in Salesforce. If your finance data lives in QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite and the agent has to call out to fetch it, it gets a partial, slow answer or no answer at all. Breadwinner puts the full finance record in Salesforce as native data, so your agents answer from the real numbers.

Definition

What is Agentforce finance data?

Agentforce finance data is finance-system information (invoices, payments, customers, credit notes, and balances) made available to Salesforce Agentforce agents so they can answer questions and take action on it. Agentforce is Salesforce's agent platform; it reasons over the data, workflows, and permissions that live in Salesforce. Finance data usually does not live in Salesforce, it lives in QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite. Breadwinner closes that gap by replicating the finance record into Salesforce as native objects, so the agent reads it in-platform, under your existing Salesforce permissions.

The problem

Why Agentforce needs finance data that already lives in Salesforce

An AI agent is only as good as the data it can actually see. Gartner predicts that through 2026, organizations will abandon 60% of AI projects that are not supported by AI-ready data. For a finance question, AI-ready means the record is actually in Salesforce, complete and structured enough to query. When finance data is not in Salesforce, an agent has two options, and both are weak. It can call the finance system's API at the moment of the question, which returns a partial, rate-limited slice with latency and no way to aggregate or filter across records. Or it guesses. Neither answers "what is overdue across all subsidiaries in the last 90 days, sorted by amount" or "which accounts have an open invoice over 60 days and a renewal this quarter."

Breadwinner solves this by making the finance data native. The full dataset is replicated into Salesforce as read-only records, structured and queryable, built on more than a decade of mapping QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, and the payment processors into clean Salesforce objects. The agent is not calling out and hoping; the data is already there, current, and complete, inside your Salesforce security boundary. This is the core of the financial data problem iPaaS cannot solve: reaching data by call-out is not the same as having it present, and replication beats on-demand for ERP and Salesforce.

Side by side

Native finance data vs an API call-out, for AI agents

This is the whole decision in one table.

What matters for an agent Native finance data in Salesforce (Breadwinner) API call-out at query time
Where the data lives Inside Salesforce, as native records In the finance system; fetched on request
Completeness Full dataset, replicated Partial, paginated slice per call
Speed In-platform, immediate Network latency on every question
Can the agent aggregate and filter? Yes, it is queryable Salesforce data No, a single call cannot join or total across records
Security boundary Your Salesforce permissions and sharing rules A separate external connection to govern
Controls on actions Records sync read-only; writes run through Breadwinner's guardrails A direct connection can hand an agent broad create and edit access to the finance system
What you build and run Nothing to host, a managed AppExchange package Your own data warehouse and sync, to govern read-only access
Freshness Kept current by two-way sync Only as fresh as the last call

Your finance system has its own AI, but it stays there

Each finance system now ships capable AI of its own. QuickBooks has Intuit Assist, and Xero has JAX, powered by its own Anthropic partnership. These are good at finance work inside that system, but they do not surface the data into Salesforce, so your Salesforce reps, service, and RevOps agents still cannot see or act on it. Getting finance data into Salesforce, where Agentforce and Claudeforce can use it, is the job Breadwinner does. See how teams surface QuickBooks, Xero, and NetSuite data in AI assistants.

Agentforce, Claudeforce, and Einstein all need the same thing

Salesforce's AI has moved fast: Einstein, then Agentforce, and now Claudeforce, the Salesforce and Anthropic partnership that makes Claude the reasoning model inside Agentforce. These are not three rival products to choose between, they are one line of travel, and they share a single requirement: each reasons over the data that is actually in Salesforce. Whatever agent or model you point at your org, it can only be as accurate as the finance data sitting there, structured enough to query. That is the layer Breadwinner provides.

Use cases

What your agents can do with live finance data

Once finance data is native in Salesforce, the useful work starts.

Answer finance questions in the conversation.

A service or sales agent can resolve "has this customer paid?", "what is their current balance?", or "are there overdue invoices on this account?" from the live record, mid-conversation, with no handoff to finance.

Give reps context before the outreach.

An agent can check whether an account has an outstanding balance before a renewal call or a proposal, so the conversation starts from the real financial picture.

Monitor and act autonomously.

An agent can watch for accounts going past due, create a follow-up task, and trigger an outreach sequence on a schedule, because it can see payment status directly.

Draft grounded collections and renewal messages.

Prompt-built messages can reference the actual unpaid invoice and payment history, not a summary, because the agent is reading real records.

Connect your finance system to Agentforce

Breadwinner is the Salesforce-native integration for finance teams: a native Salesforce managed package, installed from the AppExchange, SOC 2 Type II audited, a Salesforce partner since 2014, and rated 4.9 to 5.0 stars across its QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, and Payments apps on the AppExchange. Setup is live in hours, not the weeks a middleware project takes. Pick your finance system:

QuickBooks.

Invoices, payments, customers, and credit memos, live in Salesforce for your agents.

Xero.

Contacts, invoices, payments, and credit notes, multi-currency aware for UK, Australia, and New Zealand teams.

NetSuite.

Multi-subsidiary financials, sales and purchase orders, invoices, and balances, without a NetSuite license for every agent.

Payments (Stripe, Square, Braintree).

Charges, subscriptions, and payment status on the Salesforce record.

Security

Is it safe to connect an AI agent to live finance data?

Yes, when the data stays inside your own Salesforce security boundary and the agent cannot act without guardrails. The risk with a direct, do-it-yourself connection is twofold: the agent can read sensitive finance data with no limits, and it can take uncontrolled actions, creating a credit memo, editing a closed period, or worse. QuickBooks in particular has no read-only API scope of its own (Xero's read-only scopes are coarse and org-wide), so doing this safely without a native layer means standing up and running your own data warehouse to hold a governed, read-only copy, which is a major infrastructure project most teams rightly avoid. Breadwinner replicates finance data into your Salesforce org as read-only native records, so agents read it under the same permissions, profiles, and sharing rules you already enforce on every other Salesforce object, and any write action runs through Breadwinner's controls rather than straight into your books. Nothing is routed through a separate middleware cloud for the agent to query, the finance system stays the system of record, and Breadwinner is SOC 2 Type II audited and installed as a native AppExchange managed package.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How Salesforce agents get, use, and safely read live finance data.

Install Breadwinner for QuickBooks from the Salesforce AppExchange, connect your QuickBooks Online account, and your invoices, payments, and customers sync into Salesforce as native records. Agentforce then reads them directly, with no separate connector for the agent to call. Most teams are live in hours.

Yes, once that data is in Salesforce. Breadwinner replicates Xero and NetSuite records into Salesforce as native objects, so Agentforce agents, Prompt Builder, and Agent Builder all work from live finance data rather than a stale export or an on-demand API call.

No. Claudeforce brings Claude's reasoning to Salesforce, but Claude still reasons over the data that is in Salesforce. The requirement is the same: your finance data has to be there, structured and complete, for any model to answer accurately. That is what Breadwinner provides.

Complete, current finance data that it can query, inside Salesforce. A single API call to the finance system returns a partial slice and cannot aggregate across records. Breadwinner provides the full dataset as native, queryable Salesforce objects.

Yes, when the data stays in your Salesforce security boundary. Breadwinner replicates it as read-only records governed by your existing Salesforce permissions, and is SOC 2 Type II audited. The finance system remains the system of record.
